I saw it a couple of weeks ago and it is an awesome film. You have to take into account that it is NOT a directors interpretation of the events but it IS a film based on the Frank Miller Comic Book. So when you see giant elephants or rhinos, or dirty persians, dont go Bashing Hollywood for making political statements.

All in all I thought the movie was truely entertaining. At now point did I think "oh, thats let the movie down"

Yup, from a few comments i've read on the net. Don't read into the historical accounts of the supposedly numbers they were up against and just watch it as a comic book adaptation.
