Hey all, looks like after posting in june a 2.8k build my wife has said i can bump it up a bit with roughly 3k to spend on the rig. I want to know if it is possible to get a 8700 / SLI 1080ti and watercoole hardline if possible for 3k self made. Been looking around a lot and causing me a headache, Idealy im either looking at a core p5 build or the new NZXT H700i depending on reviews but it looks a good case for a waterloop setup.

Check out reviews for Bequiet! 900 Pro, specially if you use waterblock, can invert the Mobo so GPUs are upside down and will get to see the fluid in the blocks ;)

Yeah 3k is enough, tbh you only really need a single 1080ti even at 4K sli support is dwindling now so you can save a great chunk of money for a decent monitor or case.

@ExoMale only problem is Asus is you can't water cool the cards, have stickers on screws as well as paint .
Sent 3 months getting my Strix green lit for RMA , that's with ROG using it for media and someone knocked me off top stop for fastest gtx 1070 in 3D Mark
But it's very hard no to feel in awe of all that power ! !!!!!!

Single Ti, waterblock installed. Board and GPU lighting will be synchronised together . Some cash for hard-line system, it's an expensive sport so may need to add more ;)
4 year warranty on the card too
Overclock that ram to 4000hz
De-lid and pre-binned CPU, makes sense now since stock is £100 Les instead of £150. As your watercooling will allow for fans to run quieter

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £2,705.22
(includes shipping: £15.30)

i know the OP said about water cooling, but didnt specify what areas, but then ive never watercooled or have interest other than an AIO Cpu cooler anyways to know what is compatible, however i chose the cheapest non reference model of the Ti.

removing the monitor, picking a 1-2tb hard drive would enable a better model 1080ti within budget or just scrap sli, lower the psu then use the saving on the better model gpu, better monitor and as much water cooling gear you can get and make use of.

oh i chose the none K i7 because it shows in stock, dont know when the build is for, but if you wanting to OC then order the K otherwise you wont go wrong with the 6 core anyways.

when you look at the cost of watercooling hard tubing well to getting 2 SLi Ti's.... i know what i'd chose lol - and as you say , some AIO are stunning . looking forward to alphacools Eisbaer mk2 :D

Thankyou all @orbitalwalsh that was pretty much exactly what i had in my basket, didnt need the windows but apart from that pretty much the same. I was hoping to squeeze a second 1080 in but i think I would need atleast 3.5k to be able to do that, and I cant as im spending 500 on a monitor already.

Buy one and say if you really really need it.
Do over 50% of your games you play now have SLi working for it ?

Also, drop Customer service a note or call up about the quote, might be able to drop price, I managed to get £900 waterforce Ti at launch for £860 - that's a game at least , two Tis that's 15% of a monitor ;)

Sorry, and no windows brings it down to £2600 .

So after some more hours upon hours of trying to work this out i got a few options and appear to start to be going somewhere... here's the options and yes i will also talk with customer service about any deals that can be done. Another question i keep asking myself should I wait black Friday or just not bother, I don't know how much i could roughly save or not even as i know there's components in short supply already atm...

Option 1 - Full Loop *note i have not finalised all fittings needed just estimated for now.

Loved number one and number 4 , nothing like 4 years of warranty cover over Strix 3, as well as being able to put water blocks on the air card later and keeping your warranty .
Only problem is I get to the bottom and see your screen selection and cry , specially when option 4 is packing SLi!
With that option you should be looking at next year's 4k HDR 60+ Hz monitor or 1440p wide screen . Think everyone will tell you your nuts for that 1440p screen . One Ti will drive that just fine . Ti sweet spot is the ultra wide 1440p

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £911.09
(includes shipping: £11.10)

Take option 1/2 or 4 with ditching to one card and get the above ^^^

From.member of nzxt staff that has helped me over the years

Regarding the Smart Device:

- you can connect 4 LED strips or 5 Aer RGB fans
- you can connect 9 fans

Even option 3, but change to aorus and keeping the Kraken and RGB fans along with option 4 but single Card would look awesome !

It's a shame the Waterforce AIO is out of Stock :(

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £3,511.89
(includes shipping: £22.50)

And there's having your cake and eating it , two silent wings 3 140 at the front

Overclock 8 pack 3200 kit to 3800

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £3,780.88

Hey orb thanks for the reply, yeh sli is prob overkill for 1440p it was more for future proofing as the rig needs to last me atleast 5 years before i can think about a GPU upgrade, hopefully by than will have 4k 120hz screens who knows! Im between 1 and 2, it comes down to do i want to watercool or have an extra screen.
