its worth using it for testing , slap in your chip to see if its working fine and can overclock to rated speed- hate for you to build it all and find the chip cant OC to that level.
Think quick trick for testing water block cards is filling the block with water and powering on to see if screen detects it - done it once a long time ago , but windows and everything was installed , soon as i got into windows - roughly 12 sec i turned it off
