3000+ to 3500+ much difference?

Multipler is locked on all standard Athlon 64s. Only FXs have unlocked multiplier.

Try running superpi in a loop and prime95.

Thats not a great board for overclocking by the way, or even in general..
Run them at the same time or separately?

Seperately, as its a single core. Suppose you could run them at the same time for maximum stress on the CPU\PSU. Prime95 running for 8-12 hours straight is a fairly good indicator of long-term stability.

Run them seperately, they serve different purposes:

SuperPi is a quick and dirty test of stability, if you can pass 8mb then you're doing ok.

I use a couple of hours of prime95 (or stress prime which has a nicer interface) to test for real usable stability, tbh 2 hours prime is long enough for me to get bored, and indicates good enough stability for my purposes.

Fair point.

Yeah, but I like to be totally sure as my rig is under 100% load 24\7 with DC projects.

No pount buying expensive ram because you pay that much more for it you may as well have got a more expensive cpu which defeats the object of getting a good value cpu.

I have my 3200+ at 2.7Ghz with Corsair 3200 value DDR. (1.45 volt on the cpu DDR on a 166 divider)

Thats how its currently running. Just been playing BF2 and it seems fine. Should I prime and superpi it now, or up it a bit more?

Up it some more, most Venice cores should be going to 2.4-2.6 on stock volts.
