306 cabriolet

for me:

noisy
uncomfortable over distance
roof is slow
heavy on fuel
rear seats get very windy

would i have one more than a 2nd car and something for the summer? no.
would i have one again? no.
 
Hmmm.

My sister wants one of these after she passes her test, I advised against it but they are nice looking girly cars - what would be a suitable alternative that would fit the bill? needs to be at least a 4 seater btw :p
 
See thats the thing i dont know any 4 seater cabs other than an Audi Cabroliet that fit that budget. And those audi's are SLOOOOOOOOW.

I invested the monies i had for the RRS or the 335i :)

you have the money to buy a 335 or a RR Sport but are only spending £2k (surprised that one is so cheap) on a 306 cab and tihnking of sticking a v6 in it?
Just buy a 3 series cab.
 
i dont know why people go on so much about the 306 being a death trap. i cant see an MX5 of the same age or price being any less a death trap

I dont get why you repeatedly **** off tdi's, not only is my passat quicker than your car it more than likely gives me more mpg and i get climate control and comfort thrown in. Take off your rose tinted glasses for once and realise untill you own a decent car you cant **** off others ;) also why do you have a womens name when your a man, something your not telling us ? ;) ;)

My passat is my daily, id look very stupid turning up to meetings or auctions in a "decent all rounder" as I would bias more to the performance side and end up going in a shonky looking fast car.
 
A) Didn't **** it off, it was an accurate description. You can actually speak to Tute at the next meet and I actually recommended he bought a DIESEL Golf GT.

B) Nonsense, you don't have to own a Ferrari to know it's awesome and you don't need to own a Passat to know it's a boring but competent cruiser.

I dont find my passat boring ? I have however owned a fiesta, and this is a slice of heaven compared.

Well I'm being accused of slagging it off and I said it was a boring but competent cruiser? Now he's saying it's not boring, you have to be deluded if you think a 1.9TDI Passat Estate is any fun.
