Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Could always lower some settings in the more demanding game. I got lucky and found one at MSRP. it might be a good stop-gap for a year or so before getting something more powerful.
I'll mostly be playing single player games. Have a huge backlog so in no rush to play the latest titles. I'll probably enjoy it until next generation comes, then upgrade if the latest titles begin to suffer.
I'm hoping DLSS will improve the card's viability somewhat. Best to just play around with it and see if how it copes. I would consider a 6800XT but they are vastly overpriced.
Thanks for all the help! I've no issues scaling back some settings and my eyes probably wouldn't notice the difference haha.
