It's not such a terrible idea.
Just create a VIP members group and VIP area, and have a strict criteria to flow to be a member of that group.
Minimum post count and member join date requirement, no one who has broke the rules etc.

Aren't there laws about businesses fairly arbitrarily offering products/services to some people but not others?

Same as me then! I was really surprised when I saw one in stock so went for it! I can get small discount there which would have saved me about £20 but I was too afraid to lose it if I took too long

Based on other AIB, I don't believe £450 is that bad considering the increased performance over the FE.

Dont be too sure if the FE handles +150mhz on the core it will probably boost to the same figure if not more then that £81 is looking a bit poor. (obviously they always boost more than the recommended)

wanna say a lot of the members here are very selfish myself have been ordering from overclockers for over 10+ years but never made an account but after seeing what people are saying here i had to and tbh the people who saying forum members should get priority is disgusting and i would make sure they dont get one now if i was owner of overclockers as that is complete trash and not fair full stop

I wouldnt worry it wont happen. More likely it will be a genuine post for everyone. In any case if the website is still being "visited" then it wont happy anyway for a day or so.

They could probably do it for just people that have a forum account and are linked to the OCUK website that would be fairer.

I take it you have linked your account now ?

i am worried tho when members are clearly trying to influence the owners of overclockers to give them an advantage i had my 6800xt canceled even tho i ordered it and sat here with a pc with no card so im trying to get me a 3060ti to tie me over and then i see members behaving like this is worse than scalpers. can we make sure the ones who said only forum members dont have a chance then works both ways

Btw. does anyone here use Geforce Now ? I think 1 year subscription is bundled with 3060 Ti and I don't really understand what's the point, unless someone wants to play games on mobile devices.
Why would you use Geforce Now when you have 3060 Ti ? Does Nvidia just throws it in as a perceived bonus while not many will use it anyway or am I missing some useful functionality here ?

I find the whole 'forum member' thing interesting. My first order from OC was in 2009 and this is post 18 on the forum, so do I 'qualify' or not? There is no good way to do this.

However, if there is a post on here, that links to a new page for the cards, it will stop those who are sat on the current page hitting F5 all day long.

Actually perks for members is a long established protocol in pretty much any sector of business. But I wouldn't worry, I'm pretty sure these days they dont care where the money comes from and they have been quite happy scalping anyone as can be seen from sales so far. Quite a few 'new members' have been successful in the farcical launches so far.

I will definitely get it to 2.1ghz+ for that base 3070 performance. Should be cool and quiet compared to the cheaper dual fan models too.

I waited about 1 minute on the checkout as it was an impulse buy, but it's a big upgrade over my Vega 56 (which will be sold to offset some of the cost) and I only play at 1440. Will be nice to have DLSS too.
