3070ti to a 3090?

Hye guys,

Looking to possibly upgrade my 3070ti. I was looking at a 3090, mainly because of the VRAM and also around 30% faster according to "user benchmark".

Is this a sensible option? Seen it at various places at OK prices, and some with warranty.

i use a 1440p 240Hz monitor, really looking to play AAA games at 2K medium / high detail..

It doesn't get me excited. Somewhat mild upgrade, high power consumption, not the best reputation and high used prices.

the other option i was looking was a 4070?? its only 12gb VRAM though?

Yeah, I wouldn't bother with a 4070 from a 3070 Ti.

would DLSS 3 not help a lot in the new gen cards? also the 4070 is only 10%~ less than a 3090 performance, give or take..

Think it all depends on prices. I went from a 3070 to a 3090 a few months back. Sold my 3070 for around £330 and bought my 3090 for £675 witn 21 months warranty left. 50% ish perormance boost and x3 more VRAM was a win for me.

Think mid to high 60s, was hovering around 66-68C on a Unigine Heaven run. Run of the mill air set up in a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M TG.
