3080 - Goldfish Edition?

Haha 3080 mid range. No.

Some on here forget how many tiers are made for different budgets. So how on earth can the second fastest card be called mid range?!

I'm disappointed that 3080 comes with 1GB less VRAM than my 3 years old 1080 Ti.

Still going to upgrade to a 3080 but if a 3080 Ti comes out with 20GB VRAM and the 10GB VRAM of the 3080 starts to have issues with games, I'll upgrade again if the price is reasonable.

Fourth fastest - can anyone doubt there will be a 3080ti and a Titan soon?

I'll upgrade my 1080ti when the 3080i comes out.

The 3090 is not primarily aimed at gamers same as Titan RTX was not.

Nvidia said the exact opposite, that they saw so many people snap up Titans for gaming and decided to open it up for AIBs to compete. They call it the 3090, which makes sense, dual-chip GPUs are dead and will never come back.

48 GB Titan Ampere is still coming, have no doubt about that.

If you listen he also said what it was aimed at it was pro/content creators but gamers wanted a Titan like card.

There has always been higher end GPU's above any flagship gaming GPU but they were called Quadros or/and "cannot remember name right now).

I have owned Titans but again they were not primarily aimed at gamer so not sure why people are saying 3080 is mid range, I have no doubt a 3080Ti will appear.
