3090 Reported To Be A Laughable 10% Faster Than 3080

I really really really hope that this whole 10% faster than 3080 is flat out not true. I have been wanting to buy a 3090 ever since announcement. However if this is the best Nidia can do for over double the cost of the 3080 I will stick with my 2080 TI and give the middle finger to Nvidia. What about everyone else planning on getting the 3090 ? will you still pay that much money for only 10% gains?

It is speculation although the Chinese firm who leaked it again were right about the 3080 . At least it gives us something to do before the release at any rate.

Look at the size comparisons between 3080 and 3090 . The 3090 is just huge in comparison how on earth could that only equate to 10%??

Most of the people looking to get the 3090 are people who already own a 2080TI

So what Faster performance do you guys need to buy a 3090 over the 3080 ?

I would expect a barebones minimum of 20-25% over the 3080. Ideally 35-40% but I highly doubt that will be the case . After the announcement I was expecting 50% over titan rtx but we all know that is a flat out lie .

Asus seem to be leading the pack in terms of cooler quality. If I can't get a 3090 FE, I'll likely order the Asus Strix 3090 and be done with it!

Do Asus offer extended warranties on gpus ? I can't find any info on that. Evga offer 5 or 10 year extensions and I have a evga 2080ti with a 10 year warranty. . What are Asus RMAs like , any good ?

Yeah but scarily Gibbo has said he wont be selling any 3090 at MSRP and I have already seen a retailer listing the EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3090 for £2,500.

Paying £1500 for the 3090 is one thing, having to pay £2000+ and I am out!

If that's the case then (on condition the rtx 3090 is a minimum of 20% faster) I will just wait until the cards go back down to msrp.

There's a reason Nvidia refer to the 3080 as the flagship card. The 3090 is not really a gaming card and the 24GB of vram should indicate this. Unless you are doing big 3d renders and such you just don't need this card.

It's a truck, yes it's a lot more powerful than your car, but it's not really built for the average user.

Nvidia is literally marketing it as a gaming card...8k 60fps along with telling us how great it is for gaming...

I don't think there will be a 20gb 3080 to be honest . I would wager that to be the 3080ti that will be coming out next year, although if the 3090 is only 10% faster ... how it would look performance wise is baffling.
