I was suprised by the clunky sounding shutter noise it makes - not as snappy sounding as my 350D - is that normal?

It actually sounds very similar to the shutter on my brothers nasty plastic D50

Yes its normal, bit like a machine gun, lol, well my 20d was, not very covert at all

I have arrived back from another forum and there were allegations that this seller maybe a Shiller...

'Shiller' is a new term for me. What an old git I am. ;)

But maybe, just maybe, some of the alleged complaints have stuck and they have closed up shop for the time being while they sort things out.

I have to say that suddenly closing up with a £1020 winning bid on a 300mm 2.8 would not be the act of a normal sane person under normal circumstances.

Hmmmmi keep being outbid by this guy marczell , thing is hes based in hungary so i cant see what hes bidding on :(

It is normal, yes.
You're the guy who was appauled by the D50, aren't you? :D

itis funny if you bought a "new" cp710 series dye sub £79.99 or above they come with 5 test sheet shots and ink tray ,,

buy a refureb same box as good as new same bits in it but it includes a full 36 shot paper and ink tray,, ive got 3 of those over the months all under £40 inc postage (with a £10 ink set included refurb sometimes seems best).
