30k.....miles per year...

Leasing and PCP tends to lose its appeal once you start looking at contracts above 15k a year, so I'd discount that.

Not in all cases, there always deals coming along that take advantage of mileages.

Everyone has there own favourites, but I'd say anything with a VW 1.9/2.0 Diesel engine....... My Leon Cupra gives me on average 55MPG on a 48mile trip to work... Though I can squeeze it out to 62mpg...... That's not record breaking...... but consider it also has 150BHP... and torque you could plough with !!!.... and I don't drive at 50mph......and can easily upset many petrol drivers as they are left in a puff of lovely black sooty stuff !!! :D .....
A Jenkel and Hide car ....... and the new shape Leon with the 170 BHP is even more stonking !!

Good grief the most i have had from mine is 54mpg and that was grannying it on the mortorway for about 50 miles, lol i do have it remapped though :) 190bhp 290lb/ft of torque

Saab 9-3 Linear Sport Saloon (120)
30k p.a
£240+vat per month

Out of interest (knowing that you work in this area), what sort of monthly figure would i be looking at for a Mondeo class car at 70-80k?

I have some decisions to make regarding my car situation soon :)

Mid 50's is easy, and keeping up with the rush hour flow of 60-70 on the A12.
Just skill full driving ;)
Gets better as more miles are on the clock, now at 32.5K..... Need 50K to reach it's best from past experience of a Toledo (They good, and much cheaper than a Leon..... either 130 or 150 PDi engine)

70-80k per annum ? Blimey!

We have had a courier ring up for a van doing 120k per year, we have advised him to do a HP on the van as we have done a good deal on the purchase price.

30k is the max for cheap deals really (as far as we are concerned anyway)

2mins and ill run some figures...

30k would last me about 25 weeks at most really depending on business :/ Any figures at all? :)

Best bet would be to HP if you cant purchase outright, then sell the car on afterwards, HP for us costs next to nothing in terms of interest made.

I could quote you for CH/PCH, but it would be far more cost effective to HP me thinks.

Looks like a mondeo would be best for me looking around.

For 7k max what sort of year / spec / mileage should I be looking at?

Is 12,500 the service interval for the diesel? Are there any big service items and what intervals do they come up at?
