As per title, is g sync worth the trade off in size. I would personally prefer the larger size but if G Sync really makes a big difference over a fast refresh rate then I guess it could be worth it, but I only game about 20% of the time anyway

Any thoughts please?

Maybe just find a 144hz 32in that works 100% with the nVidia Freesync driver, might be the best of both then (my LG does for instance, can't tell between that and my XB271HU. Both sweet as a nut).

Well I just tried the AOC Agon 32in 1440p 144hz Freesync 2 monitor (fully G-Sync compatible BTW, no issues whatsoever in that dept)....and hated it.

Games & videos just looked really soft and the VA panel smearing & lag was quite horrible so I'm sending it back next week. Already packed it away and gone back to my trusty 5yr old Dell 24in 60hz IPS and the image quality is night & day, like suddenly seeing the world in crystal clarity after getting a pair of glasses.

Reluctantly come to the conclusion that 1440p is simply too low a resolution for 32in when sitting close to the screen as I really wanted a 32in panel, but it really has to be 4K for such a screen size.

After using a few different 32" VA 1440p monitors I'd come to the same conclusion too. Though smearing and lag was much better on the LG 32GK850F, compared to the AOC AGON.
But once I sat down and used the monitor, every now and then I was noticing the pixels that make up the fonts on screen. It was kind of jarring, would move my eyes as looking at text on screen and suddenly notice pixels.

I've looked into 32" 4K monitors, but they are all VA unless you spend £600+
The VA panels need to be sat over three feet from them else you'll notice gamma shifts at both sides. I have read too many complaints of this issue for it to be just nit picking.

I really wanted 32" but I'll probably end up sticking with 27" 1440p unless an IPS 32" 4K turns up at a reasonable price...or get the Acer 35" ultrawide VA...or the Dell TN...choices!
