Hey All,

I'm currently waiting for a 4k, 120Hz+ IPS or OLED monitor (not a ultrawide). Minimum size is 32", maximum is 40". Any news on such panels?

I've also heard rumour that LG may release a 40" OLED 'TV', such as the awesome C9 range. Once HDMI 2.1 cards are out this will be a real option, though haven't found much in the way of news of the 40" yet.

I'm aware all of the above will be expensive, I'm prepared to pay a pretty penny for an awesome 4K monitor :)

I was thinking the same as the OP but I just bit the bullet and got a LG C9, Just completed the setup today. The C9 beats every other monitor and all the stupidly expensive Nvidia BFGD.

As for HDMI cards to run at a full 4k 120hz we need HDMI 2.1 as HDMI 2.0 doesnt have the bandwith, Plus there is no card that can run full fat 4k 120hz at the moment :o

I replied to a thread a few days ago about 40" LG OLED but someone told me it was 48" that were on the cards for 2020 but I am sure I was not imagining I read about 40" models.

Nice, looks a good setup. How are you finding it? What did you upgrade from?

I was planning on a 55" C9 but after the Half Life Alyx trailer, I'll be getting a Index first! That will give me a bit more time to see if any 30-40" OLED/IPS panels come out, though I think I'm very likely to get a OLED TV at this point, hopefully the rumoured 48" is out early next year.

Replaces an old Asus 24" TN monitor :D Running it at 2560x1440 120Hz and everything looks fantastic, HDR games are just amazing. No banding or trailing edges everything feels so fast a fluid. Hopefully the new Nvidia cards will have HDMI 2.1 and can do 4k at 120Hz.

Is that a 55" TV as it looks small.

Also unlike LCD that are Native RED (so are Plasma BTW) are OLED's not Native RES cause LCD's look blurry at non Native RES (I grew up with CRT that can do any RES).
