I've already got a WD 1TB drive and I want another one but I want to see a different manufacturers name when I'm looking into hardware stuff so I don't get confused.
(I know what I'm on about :)).

I'm torn between these 2 but what likely difference will I see for my £15? -

Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.B 1TB SATA-II 16MB Cache £67
Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache £82

Answers today because I'll walk up this afternoon.

Weeellllll my 32mb cache drives seem nippier on smaller files...I don't think you'll notice too mcuh difference though, especially not £15 difference. Saying that though i think the F1 is faster in general and probably better quality so the £15 won't be just from the cache. If it was me id buy the F1

Have 6 or 7 TB samsung F1 HD's. And i find them very fast all of them have the 32meg not sure if they come in 16meg. Have lots of other brands and types of HD's and this are the best i have bought to date.
