Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
MSI AB also has an unfortunate habit of locking the fan to 25% completely randomly and for no apparent reason.
+1
Two cards that have not been mentioned at all with problems are the Titan and GTX 690. The one thing these cards have in common is they are both 100% reference.
But Nvidia will see it and with me linking it, users here can go and have their input. The best way to get heard is to go to the source. I doubt Nvidia are trawling through all the forums looking for petty debates on drivers. Like I said, this thread is for reporting issues and not mud slinging (which is what you seem to be doing).
The comparisons when the stutter bug was around is startling. Same voices the loudest based on anecdotal evidence at best. Before I get jumped on saying I'm defending: I have no interest in defending a faceless corporation whose job it is to take my money so knock that on the head. Nor am I denying its existence. All I'm saying is that yes, it looks likely that GPUs may be going kaput due to the driver but it's far from conclusive.
This thread was fine until the other ones got locked for trolling, baiting, general nonsense. I'm sure you can all converse and make fun of people's GPUs dying over email but you don't need a thread to do it on here.
Not sure, fan control is for little girls too scared of a little water **cough**Matt**cough**![]()
Out of interest, is it only the 320.18 driver that's the problem, or are there any reports about the 320.00?
No, just 320.18
I don't get these posts, if you are both so concerned for people's GPU's rather than defending Nvidia you should be making sure that these drivers are pulled. I don't see Humbug mudslinging.
What I mean is that even if there is a slighest chance that these drivers could damage GPU's than they should be pulled, no questions asked. In fact Gregster you gave out to someone for making a joke about someone's GPU dying. It doesn't matter if the GPU is old or overclocked, if these drivers break one GPU then it's one GPU too many.
And as for the comparisons with the stutter bug, thank god those people shouted about it because Nvidia took months to acknowledge it. Until they did the same old people on this forum were saying it wasn't an issue and what evidence was there.
I don't care if it's AMD or Nvidia, but if there is any possiblity to actually cause harm to a GPU or computer than they should be pulled and further testing should be done. As for this problem, there are too many users on various different forums having issues for it to be ignored.

Could be simply because there are so few Titans and 690's compared to other cards. There is less chance of a random problem affecting these cards.

Please show me where I defended Nvidia. I don't work for Nvidia and have a vested interest in this. I have made an attempt on highlighting the issues that the users here have had, on the Nvidia forums (feeding the information over). I don't know why I bothered, as I get attacked at every post.

Are Titan owners still using these drivers or have they reverted to previous versions?
Please show me where I defended Nvidia.
