Edit @MoRT489 perhaps you could compile a list of the most common faults/corruption. This would be helpful for other people to reference.

Yes, but the problem with this is that most of the people complaining about these drivers have no issues when they roll back to older drivers.
Nothing to roll back to for 7** series users unfortunately.
Isn't it usually the case that earlier drivers always work with new cards? If so, nvidia must have done something specific to these drivers, or the 7** series must have something particualrly different about them, to prohibit their use with older drivers. Maybe this change is where the problem lies.
