Will be buying two of these drives shortly but not sure if i read somewhere that the 500gb ones give better performance over the 320gb ones?

is this true if not i`ll just go with 2 320gb drives.

thanks.

There is £10 price diff, for 180GB more! Even if they perform the same surely it would be better to pay the extra tenner?

True but i`ll never use that 180gb of extra storage anyways, what i want to know is other than the extra 180gb does the 500gb version perform better than the 320gb version?

There's another thread done recently that shows the 500gb versions are actually very very good even compared to those Seagate 320.10 drives.

I'd pay the extra tenner, never say you won't fill a storage drive! :p
