32bit OS

how about two 295GTX's that pretty much rounds to for gigs then add another 2gb of the physical ram not to mention everything else that needs mapping all on a 32bit system, theres a set up to test
 
I think the system would POST and start to boot Windows, since the BIOS itself would have no problem in mapping all the MMIO devices and passing control to the bootloader. Then Windows would throw a wobbly when it saw that hardly any memory was available to it and fail to boot. It'd be just like trying to start Vista on a system with 8MB RAM installed or something :p Try it in a VM. IIRC it normally just shows an error message if you try and boot Windows with a ridiculously small amount of RAM.
 
At Fire Wizard, as graphics cards are essentially there own plug in system then surely the OS wouldn't care about what size memory so this wont affect the amount of physical memory?
 
The memory on the graphics card still has to be given a range of memory addresses so the OS 'knows' where to find the memory.
