Hi.

Looking at increasing storage capacity and was wondering if there is any real world difference between a drive with 32MB cache and one with 64MB cache, and if there is a difference in what scenarios would these be in?

Thanks.

Very little real world difference, there are plenty of other factors which make more difference (spindle speed, platter density etc).

I would personally suggest the samsung F2 1.5TB; cheap, quiet and have good transfer speeds. the only 64MB cache seems to be western digital; i would personally avoid the greens and the blacks are significantly more than a samsung 32MB one

Yes but OP seems to want storage and i would not recommend any other drive than the samsung 1.5. the F3 1TB version would be faster but not by much, plus not as big and more noise/heat
