Typical rudeboy e46 coupe tbh, the reg plate does all the damage. Tints and 20" alloys and you will be the envy of all the local small time drug dealers.

Looks like the centre part of the front splitter has been knocked off. Is that how it's supposed to look?

Agreed about the plates though, they're rubbish.

Yup, I think you're thinking of the M3/CSL Bumper!

It's up to the Officer, digression is often show with a warning, FPN if they catch you again they can take it away and give you a Q plate or 3 points. But you still run the risk of a copper giving you MOT notice, Q Plate or 3 points first time round.

I don't know of a web based copy of the law book which it is in, but it's mentioned many times over the net. :p

just because you read it on some forum doesnt make it true.

Ive already posted the DVLA document outlining exactly what can happen.

It confirms most of what you said, that you WILL faill your MOT with the plate, if the police stop you they have every right to fine you as much as they want up to £100 and they can get the DVLA to revoke the plate.

Nowhere does it say you can get points thought

They look out of place unless they're on an M3 :)

I have to completely disagree with that. The general shape of the car is rounded off, the mirrors suit the body of the car imo. Nothing to do with me trying to make it into an M3.

Also, not sure why everyone is against a light tint all round? Who mentioned blacking it out and slapping 20" chrome alloys on it? So many cars come with a light tint from new and they look perfectly fine. It suits most cars actually.

Yes - if your 330Ci is a manual it will be £300, if its an Auto it will be £430.

Fair enough if the plates are illegal. However appearance wise I dont see any problem with them.

Nice car.

Well you can't tint the front windows meaning you'd only be tinting the back ones so it would look daft.

It would I agree but you can do a light tint at the front and not get pulled for it. Technically you are right in that pretty much any tint at the front is illegal, the guy who quoted mine had his audi parked there, his front was really light but not actually legal. Does your 5 series have any tint on it?

What comms features does the car have? I thought comms pack fitted prefacelift Coupes had a conventional antenna on the rear screen?
