When running a 330d always put diesel in it.

Also remember to say 'Its got loads of torque!' when arguing with M3 owners in the pub. Feign ignorance when somebody asks about gearing.

there is bags of info on x30d's in this forum fella, its not like not having it in this thread stops it being found :p

injectors (100k+) and swirl flaps are the main things, then the turbo (120k apparently, means mine is over due!).

Swirl flaps would be present in a 330cd and should probably be removed. This is a fairly easy task.

Turbos don't generally die on the 330d (more of a 320d issue) - there are 530d's kicking about on over 200k on the original. Injectors may be an issue, but then mine were still fine at 140k. I did however use V-Power diesel most of the time I owned the car, pretty much exclusively from 110,000 miles.

"All 4 Tyres have at least half there tread left"

Should by spelt 'their'.

Apart from fuel, what have the running costs been like?

****!!! That is insane !!! 17,000 in 3 months!!

Good to know it's still going strong and still getting to see all of Europe :)

How many miles are you doing in that poor thing?

It's been to Slovakia and back twice, to the middle of France, as well as up and down the country all the time!

It's doing the alps in January too :)

It has had one issue (since the PAS failing) and that is the aircon compressor magnetic clutch (£££).

With mileage like that are you sure that buying a 330d with 140k already on it was a good idea? It'll be dead by the end of next year!

It's pretty much seen all its "uber" mileage now, after going to the alps in January it'll be replaced by something faster and with the correct fuel ;)

Could argue and say its actually Bimmer when referring to cars....but i wont

oops

You'd be completely wrong, as we aren't yanks. It's always been 'beemer' over here until the internet got popular and people started saying 'ass' and other such american words.
