I highly doubt a weight amounting to an average male would take it above the capability of the drivetrain?

Purely connecture I might behalf, rest of the stuff is tooled so marketing don’t really need to push for investment into a business case.

Engineering reasons would be possibly the rear axle limit or things like front end length crash performance. Mercedes clearly have a little more bandwidth on their platform as they offer estates for C and e350e variants.
