335i to 135i any point?

Has the term genuinely sporty been used in this thread? Perhaps a comparison to an RX8? These are important things when discussing BMW "sport" models.

how is fun not proportional to enjoyment? It has to be one factor of it. Just changing a car for fun alone is not going to cover the whole enjoyment umbrella. Is all i'm saying. For me, going from a 335i to a 135i would just be a backwards step, and I genuinely don't think anyone could argue differently, but that's just me

Overall it might be but it depends what you are looking at doesn't it?

I gain more enjoyment from owning a 530i than I did from a 335i. But the 335i was obviously 'more fun to drive'. Ownership experience and fun to drive are two different things.

A 135i is more fun to drive than a 335i. It's smaller, its a bit more chuckable, its more fun to throw around a B road. That doesnt mean its a better car, or that the ownership experience is better, it just means... its more fun to drive?

Yeah, agreed, I just wouldn't go from a 335 to a 135 if I wanted fun, I'd keep the 335i and get an Elise or similar (or as others have said, chop it in for a Porsche)

If you want something non boring, why not try a different brand?

Can you think of anything that is comfortable, ok is for a long motorway run, has plenty of toys, over 300 BHP, not too big, cheap ish to run and cost under 20k?

I don't want to run a 3rd car as I have a old ford and the BMW. The only other car I can think of is a TTs with a Remap however thats going to be well over 20k and the point is to save until I can afford a real upgrade in a year or 2.

Really?

You honestly fail to see why someone fails to get excited by a big, heavy, automatic 335i or why they might think a smaller, perhaps more nimble 135i Coupe manual might be more fun?

LOLWUT, this view point might be acceptable to some but is really beyond a joke for any real car enthusiast.

370z?

The very thought of me stepping anywhere near a 3 series (bar an M3) instills fear in me because of the lesser quality than say the 5 series.

This quote is brilliant. You remind me of a less funny Frasier Crane.

The quotes select by Kenai above are very telling you must admit Lucero.

True, if they were all in relation to comments I had made, which, they aren't. Maybe if i was still 18, I would find a 135i more fun than a 335i or a 535i, but unfortunately I don't. That's just me. Literally the only thing that floats my boat in that category these days is a ThunderKart :p
