no way would I go for 1080 34" PPI will be too low, you really want it mid 90's at least.
34" - choice between G-Sync + Curved or 1440

~32" at 2560x1440 is the sweet spot imo - same PPI/Dot Pitch as 24" 1080P Monitor (91.79 ppi)
Whilst doesn't tick the boxes regarding refresh rate, just picked up 2x iiyama ProLite XB3270QS for my work PC, they are a relatively inexpensive (~£260) option for someone wanting to try out the resolution (rather than committing to something nearly double the price).

I'm seriously considering a Samsung CF791 to pair with GTX 1080. Not keen on the red black design of predators etc. which may seem like misplaced priorities to some!!!
Unfortunately I'm a bit picky and want new screen to be a fit for my newly decorated home office (green/white).
Any major reasons I should think twice about the Samsung CF791 before its too late??!
