There's something seriously wrong with the monitor market. I've been looking for something like this, and yet I still can't buy anything better than the first 4k monitor I bought 5 years ago. Where's the progress?
Coming eventually, I guess. I also suspect the FUD about 4K not being ready for the mainstream for the past few years has put people off buying what *has* been available too.
I bought a CB280HK (4K, TN, 60Hz) monitor for my old man back in 2015. It was paired with a Geforce 670 and an i7-2600K (my old hand-me-downs) - and it effortlessly played his game of choice, Diablo III, in 4K. He was amazed at not being able to see the pixels and loved the high-res text on the Windows desktop too.
The sad thing is he died four and a half years ago and there's *still* nothing that's a concrete upgrade! (I have the XB280HK, the G-sync version, as my own monitor, which will be 6 years old next month).
That did sterling service playing games at 4K (including WoW and Diablo III), first on a 980 and latterly on a 2080Ti. I'm itching like mad to upgrade (IPS is lovely, but damned if I'll waste my money on a 60 Hz model) and there's no way I'll downgrade to a smaller screen size. I'm also not plonking a TV on my desk either, 32" would be the sweet spot for me.
It really is dispiriting how long it's taking these 32/4K/120 monitors to come out, but they *will* eventually be released... eventually.
