It's time to build a new computer and I would love your opinions on this list of components that I've put together.
The main focus will be gaming but there will also be some video rendering, photo editing and a lot of programming done on this system.

My current concerns with this list is the storage(temperature) as well as the current lack of case fans at the moment.

A couple of notes of things not on the list:
Operating system(Win10 will probably be purchased)
New SLI bridge(not a priority but might be purchased)
Thermal paste(the XS-PC perform very well with the supplied paste. For example: MX-2 makes them perform worse)
Custom sleeving(will be purchased as soon as I figure out color scheme and a couple of other things)
Monitors(already own three 27", 2x Eizo IPS and one Asus PG278Q)
Storage(I have a NAS for any other storage needs)

List of components then:
Code:
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K
Memory: G.Skill TridentZ DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 32GB
Mobo: Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7
GPU: 2x EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB ACX 2.0+ SC+
PSU: Corsair RM1000x
Storage(OS): Samsung 950 Pro 256GB M.2 NVMe
Storage(Games/Other): Samsung 950 Pro 512GB M.2 NVMe
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Primo

[b]Notes[/b]
Memory might be swapped for something else, am unsure.
GPU model is based on current prices, if it would chance drastically another 980 TI might be purchased.

This is a list of cooling components that I plan on using. I only supply this for reference. I've asked in the water cooling forum about advice/suggestions for this bit.
Code:
Pump: EK-D5 PWM Motor (12V DC PWM Pump Motor)
Top: XS-PC Acrylic Top for D5 Pumps (V2)
Radiator: 2x Alphacool NexXxoS Monsta 480
Reservoir: PrimoChill CTR Phase II Reservoir System – 240mm – Purple
CPU-Block: XS-PC Raystorm Pro
GPU-Block: 2x XS-PC Razor GTX 980 / 980 Ti (V2)
Fittings: 14x PrimoChill Rigid Revolver Compression Fitting 10x13 - Diamond Knurled Grip
Pipes: PrimoChill 10x13 Rigid Acrylic Tube 60cm. – 4 Pack – Purple
Water: Alphacool CKC Cape Kelvin Catcher Clear 2.5 liter
Fans: 16x EK-Vardar F3-120 (1850rpm)

[EDIT]
Since so many of you recommended X99 instead I put together a list of components for such a build as well and could really use your input on it.
As it stands they are equal in terms of cost.
Code:
CPU: Intel Core i7 5820K
Memory: Team Group DDR4-2800, CL16 - 32 GB
Mobo: ASRock X99 OC Formula
GPU: 2x EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB ACX 2.0+ SC+
PSU: Corsair RM1000x
Storage(OS): Samsung 950 Pro 256GB M.2 NVMe
Storage(Games/Other): Samsung 850 Pro 512GB
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Primo

[b]Notes[/b]
Is it worth €100 to upgrade to Formula/3.1 for the OC socket?

You will find that a X99 setup is the same price.

And with that you get more cores.
Thank you.
I actually never considered X99 so I have a bit of reading to do.

At first glance there are some pros and cons to both setups, just have to figure out which would be the best fit for me.

Agree with the above with that budget buy X99. The extra cores will help with video processing and photo editing and depending on what components you buy the build will be a similar price to Skylake.

Thank you all for your input. Replies to some of you below. :)

you should be looking at 6 or 8 cores for that budget :)
Budget should not dictate that, what I'll be using the computer for should ;)

Man at this level X99 is the only answer.

You need HT you need X99.
Care to elaborate?

HELLO :) are you looking for pre built or a day machine...
"day machine"?
Going to build it myself, if that's what you're asking.

As I mentioned to another poster, budget shouldn't dicate platform but rather what I'll be using it for.
Even if I do some video processing it is less than 10% of what I will mainly use the computer for.
If I had to break it down it will be something like 48% gaming, 30% programming, 15% photo editing, 7% video processing.

Sorry I meant DIY (silly predictive text on the mobile) are you interested in a water cooled build or must it be on air?
If you re-read my initial post you'll see that I plan on water cooling(I will not under any circumstance do air or AIO) ;)

I added a possible X99 build in my initial post. Feel free to comment and perhaps tell me what I should swap out

As a start, drop 8 fans, you don't need push+pull plus I think the rads wouldn't have enough room with push pull in the mix.

Are you comfortable doing acrylic tubing over normal tubing?

I do have room for push/pull, and as long as I'm conscious about RAM height and eventual mobo heatsink height I can fit it in the top as well(54mm clearance).
I do agree with you though that I probably don't need push/pull, but I figure why not. I spend a lot on this build, might as well go the full mile.

Never done acrylic but there is a first for everything.
Normal would definitely be easier and less time consuming but I want the look of acrylic.

Just a quick question, I know it'd be silly NOT to go for water cooling with a price range of up to £3500 but any particular reason why you really DON'T want air? :) - Some air is better than WC.

:)!

As long as the mobo is flat enough you'll be OK, but you'll have about 130mm of thickness with both the Monsta rads and push/pull, IMO I wouldn't bother with P+P because you're gaining at best 1 degree cooler considering you have enough raddage to cover a single CPU and GPU, a single 360 would cool them both! :p

A couple of reasons...
First of all I've been doing air for 20 years, it's time to try something new.
Also I want as good cooling as I can get while still having a system that is as silent as it can get.

The cooler the better.. right? ;) :p
