3570k erratic temps

I installed the 3570k to my sabertooth z77 matched with a cooler master 212 evo and antec 1200 case and my temps seem to be all over the place.
core 0 - 38c
core 1 - 22c
core 2 - 27c
core 3 - 35c
on stock at idle.
also when i run prime 95 small fft the temps are
core 0 - 55c
core 1 - 47c
core 2 - 49c
core 3 - 51c
does this look right?
when I clocked it to 4.4 the highest temp was 68c at load.
I seem to have a large variance between cores.

the ivys do seem to vary a lot ive witnessed anything up to a 10c difference across cores on my 3770k

This is common on all intel quads, of the 5 ive owned theyve all had variations. It's very rare to see one with even temps at load or idle.

Isnt it because intels cheap thermal paste they use on Ivybridge?

Thats perfectly fine, don't worry

The cheap thermal paste is the cause of the higher temps that ib cpu's run at. Other intel chips use solder between the heatspreader and cores.
