Hey chaps, I've been away from overclocking for a long while as nothing appeared to strain the system. Now obviously bf4 is here and I thought why not.
I have the 3570k with one of these chaps bolted on and I have played a little with the Intel Extreme Tuning Thingamybobbery.
I'm not entirely sure how to overclock these things as I am used to amd, incrimental adjustments in bios sort of thing.
So my first attempt is I flicked all the multipliers up to 40x which bumps the speed up to 3.99ghz (why not 4?!) and all my games run fine. Under full load on bf4 it doesnt go past 50c.
So my question is, what do you chaps do next? Do I bump it up another 1x? Or will I need to start looking at voltages? Theres a lot of things about turbo on here. I dont have much idea about how to activate that or when it comes in to effect so I've been ignoring it!
