360 batteries life span

Hiya.

Just wondering how many hours of play you get using a wireless controller (Without the Charge Kit), Thank You.

Regards :)
You say without the charge kit - do you mean using standard AA batteries then? If so I would definately go for Duracells as I have always found them to last far longer than any of their competitors tbh.

Hiya.

Yep, just using AA batteries. Just thinking if I should purchase the play and charge kit (Black) as I've got my Elite pre-ordered. If its only around 20hours Im sure I will need atleast 3 sets by the monday :p . Thanks, going to order one now.

Buy yourself a good battery charger kit. I bought the play and charge kit, it's okay but it sort of takes away the wireless element.

Where as having an x amount of batteries ready to slot in is fine. I also find the normal batteries to last a hell of a lot longer than the charge pack.

Not to mention my sister pulled my whole Xbox down to the ground (ruining Saints Row in the process) due to the poor positioning (and human stupidity, too) of the lead at the back.

definately go for the play and charge kit, itll save you the cost of batterys in a few uses.

can charge your controller whilst your console is in low power mode too, so can still be wireless.

Hi Slogan.

Thank you, I do agree with your point, and it never really occured to me :) It does sound like a cheaper and more sensible option. Does the Play and Charge kit weigh much, and is it big?

Regards :D

Lead at the back? You were using 3 play and charge kits at once?

my 2800mah rechargeable batteries last more than 50% longer than duracell ultra alkaline batteries. They're well worth the purchase.

I'd just use the kit, very easy to use obviously and can charge during play.

Can be had for a tenner online.

Can you only use it when the Xbox 360 is turnt on ? (Maybe a silly question, but if its on standby or switched on via the mains)

If the 360 has to be on, like the other lad said, you mightaswell just buy a wired controller.

The play and charge kit is silly.

I bought a decent 4 x AA battery charger for about £7 which came with 4 x 2500mAh batteries, and 4 rechargeable 2800mAh energizer batteries for £3.

I just use the energizers though.

When one set dies, I put the charged set in, put the dead set on charge for 20 hours, and so on.

I'm never without charged batteries and they last much longer.

Cheapo Panasonic batteries last me the best part of 6ish hours, and I've gone through quite a few sets when playing Co-Op GoW with friends. Tried a set of the Duracell Ultra M3's, and they lasted absolutely ages, think I went a good 3 weeks to a month without having to change.
