Now you know I love my 360 but even I'm started to get frustrated by the bugs in many 360 games. I'm wondering if there's ever been this number of buggy games with other consoles (can't remember any true game enders with my Xbox)
Marvel was patched earlier this week with catastrophic results. It was supposed to clean up a few things prior to the Heroes/Villains content patch but the whole thing has blown up and it's caused a delay. The boards are up in arms with corrupt saves, unlocked characters now locked and all, yes all in game items have corrupt stats. I was in the middle of playing through and touch wood I think I'll be able to stagger over the finish line but many achievements (unlock all costumes) are now out of reach.
Rayman Rabid Rabbids has a bug where if you don't do all 4 of an arena events in one sitting (ie switch off and come back) you don't get the unlock. The only fix is to manually go into the system blade and delete the save game. (Had to do this after I realised I'd missed the first song unlock).
COD2 when it was released had a catastrophic save game bug which forced people to have to replay many levels on Veteran (I had to redo the first 2 missions after I finished to get the final achivements.)
DOA4 when it came out had a save game bug if you logged into Live! when off line etc which wiped your save.
King Kong has a fatal bug in one of the levels where a particular event isn't triggered. I managed after an hour to trigger the event by shooting at a particular point in the scenery which somehow hit a dinasour. Many people on the forums had to manually delete their save and start again.
Lego Star Wars 2 I had the fatal system hanging bug many many other people had at the end of Story mode in Ch3 when you have to cross the river. (You have to the whole episode in one sitting and it takes about an hour). I had to redo this 4 times until I and other forum members worked out a way to use R2 to hover over at a seperate time and point.
I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but imo there's something wrong with the MS approval system for this number of fatal bugs to get through. What do other people think? Dont get me wrong, I like the system and it's not going to stop me buying more games but I do think things need to get better.
