360 bust - new one be better cooled?

Well, I had my xbox 360 on my desk for like 6 months with no problem. I decided to move it down to the floor with a tad of ventilation and it busted within a day lol.. If i get a new one and keep it on the floor will it bust? or will it have better fans? Cheers

You have to wait a few months for the new revision to come out first.

machines made in 2006 are apparently ok, so say MS. they admitted to problems with machines made in 2005.

My other tip is to use a can of compressed air to clean any dust out from the internal heatsinks, you can just squeeze the usual tube you get with the Can passed the fans, into the back of the case through one of the holes.. I've opened up a few 360's and some have had the entire heatsink choked with dust, and they ran very hot compared to the others..

If you get it replaced with MS you'll get a refurbished one back.
