360 Chromehounds Demo

Dissapointing. The graphics looked okay (just about), but the level was so bland.

The mech was so slow. (Yes its a five story robot but still, far to slow).

Having a choice between a cross hair in the top right corner (madness) or a blinkered in cockpit view? Oh dear. I could hardly hit anything.

And I may have completely missed it, but where was the return to menu button?

I see the plan by the designers to create a more 'realistic' giant mecha game as opposed to Japanese games with curvy robots with giant wings piloted by teenage girls while musing about the meaning of life, but it kind of takes the fun out of it.

I don't think there is one. So not only do they release a below average demo they don't let you get out of it lol

My personal thought on the demo were it was slow, dull and extremely repetative. The graphics for a 360 game in all but the mech were appauling. Compared to the other release - prey they look like something straight off the original xbox.

Also did anyone else find it extremely difficult to kill any of the little people shooting at you.

Definately not a purchase for me.

Overall the graphics and game play was ok, but it just seems to be a bit dull. As for the crosshairs, you would be lucky to hit anything in the HUD mode.

:(

Lol at cheets64.

The irony is, I am going to sell Steel Battalion, and I was looking for a Mech game to replace it, hence my interest in Chromehounds.

I know someone who has the Japanese version and apparently, it is very good online. The customisation is supurb by all accounts and you can do whatever you like when it comes to speed, armour, fire power etc.
