I've got a Acer AL1916w running a 360 through an official lead but im having graphics problems all over the shop.

Its basically cutting the screen in half, and stitching it back together again horizontally.

Best way i can describe it, or same kind of effect in or out (cant remember which) of sync with FPS when using a PC.

So i've taken me 360 to my Dads 32" Samsung LE32R74BDX and none of that happens.

But the screen is even more washed out than my TFT, and very very jaggy.

This is using the cable that came with the 360, using component, which i thought would offer the best quality, but im not impressed at all.

Its a shame as i was considering getting this screen in a couple of months since the price has dropped sub £600.

Is this what i should expect even on a HDTV? Or is there something wrong?

If so i think i might actually get a better pc tft and sell this one, and keep the 360 away from a proper TV.

What do people think?

I know i must be running your patience into the ground, im doing my own head in, but any comments of any setup is more than welcome, i just want to get the best out of this console, as i feel its not 100% so far.

Thanks.

Steven.

It could be your tv doesnt accept 50hz signal which i believe might be the default setting with component? have you tried changing it to pal-60?

I don't have any experience with component myself as my tv or monitor doesn't accept it, but using the official vga lead, i get a perfect picture, with no jaggies at all.

When i setup the 360, it didn't have hz setting from what i could see, maybe i missed it.

I had switched to HDTV on the lead, and set to 1080i as 1080p didn't work (could be the other way round)

If there is a 60hz setting available to me in those modes then i must check it out again, its a shame though as it looked rough compared to this cheap tft am on right now.
