360 connection question

i dont have a hdtv and im getting a premium 360 and i was wondering if the image would be clearer if i bought a 360 scart cable instead of the lead you get with it and the scart adaptor on the end.My friend got one at the weekend and the image was very blurred and had a loud buzzing coming from the TV.

yeah it will be bigger improvement i was using sdtv until recently and i noticed a difference between component and scart .

EDIT: Allegedly a SCART input only supports composite, not component...

The lead with the premium will only give you Composite Video (yellow plug, into scart block) for SDTV.

For the best picture on SDTV, buy the RGB Scart Lead.

Thats not strictly true, you can get fully wired rgb-scart connections and switchers etc.

Sorry, I meant it wont take component as supplied by the xbox lead which is YPbPr not RGB.

Yeah, a proper RGB Scart cable helps the picture quality nicely.
