Hi all, only had my 360 for over a month and for some reason the controller keeps disconnecting itself when im playing Halo 4.

It cant be the batteries as thehy are showing as 3/4 full, I don't game loads, maybe 6 hours a week or something so its not been hammered either.

Getting quite annoying though as it'll go through phases of disconnecting in quick succession then not do it for a bit, then do it again. Pee's me off when playing online.

Anyone know what it could be? Interference? Or just a faulty game pad?

I haven't noticed it do it when I've been playing Skyrim or Forza interestingly.

Nope, not faulty, the 360 controller hates batteries. I have 4 controllers, 3 official 360 ones and the special edition gears of war 3 and they all drain the batteries if left in and also cut out constantly.

Bought a recharge pack in the end, works fine now

Cant say I've encountered this atall, always used energizer batteries in all my pads and they stay connected, and the charge lasts longer than the charge kits.

Anyways, Is it possible that your batteries arent making a solid connection with the coils in the pad? Possibly try and re-enforce the pressure using paper or something? just as a test?

These are just the batteries that came with it. ive not got a play and charge kit yet but its really quite annoying. It could be a loose connection with the batteries I'll have to test it out later.

Happens to mine occasionally, think it is related to the vibration function.
