360 controller on pc?

I thought it would be plug and play but allas no.
Using w7 64bit. Tried downloading

Xinput Driver for Microsoft Common Controller (64 Bit)

But it says not enough space for install. despite having 238GB free.

wireless, but using a usb cable. ordered the wireless dongle, but that hasn't turned up yet.

Tried different usb port and it auto installed.
Is it just meant to work in games then, or am I meant to do something else. wireless dongle should be here tomorrow anyway.

Epic fail!

The wireless controllers are just that - wireless. In no way, shape or form will they ever send signals through a wire.

They must send some as it installed as a 360 controller.
And it isn't a fail. I ordered controller, receiver and a plug/play cable to charge the battery.

Doesnt it annoy you that us pc gamers are being kinda made to get these xbox gamepads, its just another way for dev's to port there consoles game easier.

Not really, Certain games are best played on a gamepad. Driving, GTA style games. Where fps and such like are so much better on mouse and keyboard. Use best device for type of game.
