360 cooling

Still dont understand how that will work. Putting fans against existing fans (in the case of the Nyko) should produce an airflow mismatch shouldnt it?

Not for me anyway, the 360 is noisy enough without spending money on a (IMO) needless piece of kit.

Why bother adding noise?
Most peoples Xbox's work fine, if your Xbox360 is overheating just get it replaced rather than buy an extra.

The Nyko's do work, seen enough reviews on hardware sites where probes have shown a temp differential in various areas within the 360. I just can't understand how it works for reasons Nismo mentioned.

Thing is, unless you're having heat related probs with the 360, theres little point in getting this which just adds to the noise factor. My launch day 360 is still going strong and hasn't had any issues from heat yet, even though it sits on my desk in front of 3 tfts.

i agree with nokkon. dont forget the 360 etc were designed to work all over the world and im pretty sure it gets MUCH warmer in the US and other parts of the world than it does here

Id bet that most houses in the US have aircon though.

Im sure the pelican thing would have been much better if only it had a bigger fan in it, the one they used it laughable for the size of the thing.

As people have said, the 360 has been designed so that it won't explode, overheat, launch a nuclear bomb etc.

These pieces of kit are for the ill informed, or people wrongly worried by the media's hype about 2 overheating cases out of hundreds of thousands of 360 units still running fine.

Weve done this before, the airtemp in your house has probably gone up a maximum of 5 degress from winter to summer.

Hmmm, about 20c in winter and currently 37c... little more than 5c eh :(

The temp in your house was 37C?

Do you have a furnace in every room? :p

Temp in my room... south west facing and gets the sun for about 9 hours a day + computers + screens + heatmats/bulbs for a couple of my pets :p

Rest of my house is probably ~ 28-30c
