360 driving games.

Awesome concept, poorly executed. I didn't like the way the cars I drove (admitedly not THAT many extensively) handled. I didn't like the way you could get away with crashing into anything at any speed and come away no worse than a slight bump sensation and an irate policeman/passenger.

It would've been great if it had realistic physics, but it doesn't. Anything not on a bit of tarmac is exactly the same, slow down a bit and hard to turn, no matter what surface.

I sold it.

I'd rate Burnout Revenge the best for driving fun.

Couldnt agree more.

You guys think that cars are bad in TDU, you should try the bikes

I did :p ;)

TDU is a great game, don't let the negative comments on here put you off buying it. If you like driving games it is def one to try out, I couldn't stop playing and first time ive done that with a game in years. ;)

Test drive is one of the best driving games ever imo, thought NFS:C was pants slow frame rates (2 player is terrible, really bad and I aint one to complain about fps etc) its just shocking NFS:MW was better if your looking for more of an arcade game. Altough completed NFS:MW on ps2 only briefly played these on 360.

Remember sega rally is out soon :p

what the heck you on about? NFS:C is one of the most smooth and fluid playing games i have playe don the 360.

Test Drive Unlimited is absolutely brilliant! I bought the 360 because of this game and i wasnt disappionted. Its a pretty reqarding game to complete, and once complete you have the ability to free run wherever on the island you want really. I couldnt recommend it enoguh if you want a good racing game, and a good cruising game.

Im really looking forward to GTR and Forza, but unfortunately today ive notived GTR has been put back a month, adn Forza back to May time :( All *** same though ive just got Ridge Racer and am very impressed, whilst its an arcade game its very good fun.

Id steer clear from Import Tuner VIRII, although it may be better with a wheel, i found it very slow, and not very exciting.
It is slow to get started I'll give you that.

Once your up around 600BHP though and your blasting along at 190MPH it starts to liven up :p Drifting a Skyline at 130MPH is a great feeling... its even more of a challenge if you don't have a clue about how to set the car up :p

If you haven't played the older Burnouts, then Burnout is probably the best.

But I got a bit bored of the series, so on the 360 I enjoyed Test drive more.

The thing is, all those saying Burnout whilst I agree its a great game does it work that well with a wheel? I haven't tried it but can't imagine it being too great.

I plumped for TDU because I was able to get get TDU and Hitman blood money in a 2 for £50 deal which seemed OK. Probably not earth shatteringly cheap but good enough for me.

So TDU.... played for an hour or so and it does not work well with the wheel in my opinion. The wheel needs to be turned quite a long way before the car starts to turn at all sadly and the delay between turning and the car turning makes for pretty poor driving. Someone seemed to suggest a patch was on the way?

id definitely stay away from NFS Carbon and get NFS most wanted as its a much better all round game compared to Carbon...problem with Carbon is that the AI cheats to such an extent that it makes it near impossible to win races especially later on in the game. Plus NFS MW is an easy 1000pt game tbh, in fact too easy.

TDU is another brilliant game although i havent played my copy for quite some time now...but definitely a game to consider getting. Wouldnt bother with import tuner, heard its a pile of **** tbh.

Test drive is apparently getting a patch for the force feedback.
If that appears it would probably be your best bet.

I dont suppose you know when this patch will be released do you?

I have the wheel and TDU and although it's good, the lack of force feedback is a little annoying, the same can be said for NFS Carbon. you dont get the same 'feel' as you do with the shipped re-written PGR3.

I must say that I felt the handling in the TDU demo was utter crap, it completely put me off buying the game. I got it as a present however and if you turn off the driving aids it becomes a much much better racer.

I'd say PGR3 still handles better but TDU is a superior gaming experience because of the ability to do stuff however you please rather than slogging through trophy after trophy.
