Would this work with any game I wonder?

My final fantasy 10 has seen better days, it's scratched to hell and back lol.

read the back of the manual it normally states in there if you can send in the disk and pay a fee for a replacement

i had this problem with my first 360, i didnt move it or anything yet it still scratched the living hell out of my games, it was a faulty disc drive and i got it replaced and it worked fine. But this was mainly a problem with old models.

Call the customer support number in the back of the manual. It was the norm to offer these replacements in the PS2 days, I dunno if it is still the case.

I scratched my COD3 disk and cause I had i t less than 90-day they offered to replace it for free.

I never got round to it and a mate fixed it with some brasso.

who offered to replace it for free?

my gow is scrathed, but not like the youtube video. does that mean it wasnt the 360?

I've been starting to wonder if mine has a problem with damaging discs.

Gears of War will occasionally come up as a DVD, but won't play in the dashboard. I have to reset a few times until it plays as a game.

Oblivion makes really loud drive noises and on a couple of ocassions has just out right crashed and told me to replace the DVD.

Hmm, i was tempted to get myself a 360, but after all the problems i'm hearing about - now i'm not so sure. Can anyone reassure me? Or is it just case of being lucky/unlucky.

Seems to be a case of being lucky / unlucky. I still have a release day console, manf date of 08-10-2005, and it's never skipped a beat. Never even crashed. Whilst there are others that say they've been through 4 or 5 consoles.

That said, though, I am considering selling it before I do start to experience problems and purchasing a new Core with 3 years' warranty.
