it'll be $479 which in GBP is only a measly 240pound... But you'll probably need a step up... maybe? I dunno i've not bothered to look at the power supply on the existing..

I'm just hoping it's a WHOLE LOT more silent than my current 360.. If not microsoft deserve to loose to the PS3...

Because its varies from console to console, I've had two personally which have both been completely different in terms of noise levels, but both IMO were acceptable.

Thankfully the one I have now is barely noticeable.

because the origonal ones were pretty loud (still didn't really bother me), so all the 360 haters have blown it out of all proportion.
The new 360 (confirmed by my latest purchase) are much much quieter!

My release day 360 was like a 747 taking off.

My new one is more like a PC now when playing games, when idle it is very quiet. Doesn't compare to the sound of the PS3 though.

Its a shame that it can't. My wii and ps3 drives are totally silent, dunno if the fact that theyre slot loading drives has much to do with this or not but the 360 drive can be a total pain in the arse when it comes to noise. I dunno why they never seen this as a potential complaint before the system was released.

If you're wanting to take the 360 apart to replace the drive then you can just modify the original drive to make it quieter than the Wii drive. This can't really be talked about on here though.
