I just pushed back the cover of the front USBs and now it won't close feels like the spring of whatever was there has broken or something :(

Guessing I won't get MS to send me another despite the console being only 8 months old, so I wondered if the ones on the bay are any good or should I go get an original on the high street?

How about taking the faceplate off and having a look first? Might be fixable.

just did, guessing there should be a spring there and it isn't, may have came away and is awol :( never taken the front off so not sure

THere should be a small spring on the back of the USB Cover yeah, The ones from the bay are ok, but the original ones are far superior in my experience.

I used to do this all the time. Just squeeze the sides of the faceplate next to the USB slots. It should spring back eventually.

Interestingly, it was my launch console that did this but the replacement from Microsoft doesn't, it just springs back straight away and can't be stuck done.

go get yourself one of these trendy doodas!

OK I've see a couple that I want to get, worried its gonna look pants with the my 360 layed down?

Thinking of buying vinyl sticker for it so it matches up, will this cause any issues with my 360 i.e. heating up etc

Right I'm now hunting for either a silver or black side skin for my 360, can't find any :( or I need specsavers, anyone know where i can get them from?

thanks

I see them but its voids the warranty which runs out September, I might wait and do that. Are these as easy as the original Xbox for changing them over?

Easier.

5 tabs at the back (require a toothpick to press).
pop off the side grills with toothpick.
Undo clips under faceplate.
Done!
