360 hd drive

hi

just got a 360 hd addon drive and am waiting for hong kong to arrive, this will be my first viewing of hd , will i be amazed at the image??, as ive heard hong kong is supposed to have a very good image?

my settings will be :

720p on component
plasma 37"

i assume you mean king kong? :D

although i dont rate the film much it is one of the better ones ive seen quality wise :) serenity is another one that i can think of off hand

woops i cant believe i done that:o

this might be a bit off topic but does anyone know what the DVE (digital video essentials) hd disk is like, is it worth getting to get my hd drive and tv perfect?

DVE will certainly help you set up your telly, though i think it'll probably help much more in calibrating a projector. i use the original dvd version of dve with mine and it def helps get them pesky black levels lookin good :D
 
I read somewhere (a gaming site that I don't know if I can mention here) that 300 is a very good quality picture on HD and Blu-ray. Not sure if it is out yet in the UK though.

Ive just recently ordered the HD-DVD/DVD combo from a good importer, cant wait to give it the 1080p treatment :)
 
lol that'll be nice....be sure to wear a rain coat though...with all that high def blood, your screen will practically be dripping in it
