360 headphone setup (annoying)

My setup is as follows:

360 > component into Dell 2405 and the optical out into my Sony surround kit (no headphone out).

I want to use headphones with Live on a night so i used the 2 Audio outs (RCA) on the component cable, fed them into a RCA to male 3.5mm Jack, then into a headphone amp and into my MEdusa's.

It all works perfectly apart from one thing....the Mic, for obvious reasons (nowhere to plug it in).

The only option i was left with was having the Live headset plugged in and hung around my neck, but then the voice comes out of that, not my headphones!

I cant believe for a second that there isnt another way around this!!

Can anyone please help???

Thanks,

Sorry mate I can't think of a way to do it that doesn't use both live headset and headphones. Im no xpert though so wait for some other posts.

I think I'm going to try and get hold of one of those jack-mini jack converters. I think that should work.

There's a setting where you can have the voice come out of both the speakers and the live headset. Press the xbox button, goto personal settings, and then voice.

Turtlebeech actually use ocUK as a distributer however ocUK don't import these babies yet

I am in the same boat and think as it stands there is a big gap in the market for a decent pair of live stereo/mic headsets for those late at night gamers.

Also what about a clip on mic soldered to an orignal xbox mic to controller jack m- m+ , will that work ?

Excellent, thanks for the info!!

Thats what i need.

As for the mini jack converter, you would need a double female 3.5mm to single male 2.5mm as you would have both the headset and mic to plug in. Not even sure if that combination exists tbh.

Thanks again guys! Didnt realise there was more options for it in sound!!

Yeah but $80.... expect them to cost 60 -70 quid here. They would have to be damn nice to be worth that imho.

The fact that they are built for Xbox360 live looks good though i admit.

Might stick to my Medusa's with an adapter and see how i get on :)
