360 Monitor Sound Issues

I have a bit of a minor inconvinience regarding my 360. I recently hooked it up to my ASUS LCD VW193 monitor and it works fine. The problem is, there is no sound. Now, I am pretty sure I need some kind of adapter to connect the 360 sound cables to my speaker cables; however I have no real knowledge of this and decided to check with you guys first. So, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

MR.

Not sure if that's the official one, if it is then you would have got the adaptor with it, so I guess not, they are cheap at any local audio or electrical shop anyway :)

The packaging sure looks official, usual white and green scheme. Anyway, I'll take a look around for that adapter, thanks guys :)

That means nothing. My 3rd party VGA cable came in what looked like genuine packaging but there was no MS logo anywhere. It also didn't come with an audio adaptor. Does your cable have the logo and hologram on it?

Wasn't there also a batch of official VGA cables that didn't come with the adaptor? Sure I remember reading something about it on here.
