Got home just now, after spendnig a snow day with some mates, to play some TDU, couldnt hear my friends in chat for a start. And my disc tray wont open properly. It ejected about an inch, so i gentley prised my disc out. Now it wont open at all  back to the retailer I think. Boots up fine, no problems with that, no 3 red lights...yet

If i press the ejct button on the drive, the power button flashes as if it was opening, but then just doesnt open. Opens fine if i open it throught the dashboard.

I had this problem and it persistantly got worse :-/ If your console is standing up try lying it down as thst sorted my problem until I had time to get it swapped over.

If your sick of them, dont read them, You knew what this thread was going to be about, so why bother posting your anger?!

Anyone else had any similar problems with their disc trays, it could be a loose face plate but i never move or touch my 360.

Ahh right, thanks for that. Its laying down at the moment. It can open fine, just only if i open it thru the dashboard. It opens up properly once(via button on console) after being turned on, then 1 inch and then not at all. mums on holiday atm, i can still play games, will just have to wait till next week to get it sorted.

This isn't the Microsoft help line you know.

Anyone else sick of these posts?
People generally post these kind of things to see if anyone else has had similar problems so they can find a fix without having to call helplines n such.

Oooh look /\ /\ /\ that's what happened too!

i know how to fix it but you gotta take the drive apart, its to do with the magnets inside the drive not releasing, the magnets become elevated

But he didn't ask the question.Just sounded like a moan to me,which this forum is full of just lately.

My 360 has had a problem with the drive not opening properly from day one.
It doesn't stop me from using it though.

It has got so out of hand on here that if the slightest little thing goes wrong, people feel the need to moan about it,which fills the board with threads like this which then leads to people contacting Watchdog because their 360,which is stuffed in a cheap enclosed cabinet on top of their VHS,has died for the 5th time.

Thank god that forums didn't exist in the days of the Spectrum 48k.

Play some games for gods sake and talk about those.

Ok big man. Please don't call me names again.I'm sorry.

His original post is referring to a problem that isn't so common on the 360, but some of us could potentially help him with our knowledge and if his 360 is screwed or just a minor problem.

There is no need for you to post so dont!

Jesus is it so hard to understand?

The OP didn't ask for help.If i can help anyone asking for help then i will.It just sounded like the guy was paranoid after reading all the other posts about dead 360's.

Sorry but he's right, you are being a complete arse. ironic how you're sitting there moaning about other people moaning... bit of a Victor Meldrew eh?

There's no need for you to keep posting in this thread yet here you are still moaning... bit sad really... ;)
