360 - project 8 help

I just can't do manuals... I always loose too much speed and stall - or just not have enough for the next trick - that's assuming I don't fall off :D All the achievements seem to be concerned with getting sick scores too - I feel pretty proud and like I have achieved something when I get a pro :D

Talking of combos and manuals and the like - one time a little clock timer appeared in the middle of the screen giving me something like 10 seconds to continue the combo - only seen it once, and can't see anything about it anywhere else - anyone seen it before? Know how to get it?

/thread hijack - but I guess no one knows ;)

1 - Manuel - jump - kick flip - Manuel - jump - kick flip - Manuel - jump - kick flip - etc etc ;)

2- to get the little timer press LB and RB during a trick ;)

AH-HA!! All becomes clear!! So you can do that anytime and don't have to manual between every trick? 1,000,000 point combo here I come!! ;) :D

yup, if you slow down you could run then start manual again

ive done it :D

Near where the classic mission is (called hot date) there is a wall with "liquour" written on it, and behind that is another one, you grand the tall one and it takes the letters off then you see a cut seen of the elevator opening :D

Wow, YouTube has some awesome videos of people doing the Classic challenges at Sick level. I always though that woul dbe impossible so only bother going for pro, not sure I am good enough to get Sick, might try it on some of the earlier levels though, the Slums one looks hard.

you arent wrong.
those vids are outstanding.

how do people stay on rails and do tricks so well, i struggle like mad with rails :/

I cant even manual in this game, any tips?

How are you getting anywhere without doing manuals? You need them for all the combo stuff

Everytime you do a trick and land, just flick the left stick up then down (or down then up) and keep your balance until you do your next trick.

If you haven't already, do the tutorial, i only did it for the achievement you get for completing it, but it shows some useful stuff if you're not family with THPS games. It has a section about doing manuals.

Yeah, another tip is, as you are landing revert with the right trigger and go into manul, this builds up speed.

Excellent, nice one mate - I did it last night too - thanks for the tips. Although I did miss read your post at first, and was trying to wallride the wall that says Liquour - and that just doesn't work :D

That's the one I found out last night - that's a life saver. I can now do meaningful combos!!

I think you can only manual out of an 'air' trick if you do the revert. Well, this is the only way to continue the combo anyway.
