Ah I see, not too big a deal I guess, just found out it only resets when I change from one HDMI device to another, flicking back to standard TV then to the 360 works ok.
Remove the plastic shell off the component cable and you can have both cables in at the same time, then you just use the optical port of the component cable.
Cunning. Pretty tight/clever of MS to put the ports so close together that you can't do this without paying ££ for their cable or hacking cables apart!

I get it regardless of whether I change to another HDMI device or through SCART. It can be annoying especially as one of my freeview boxes likes to switch itself on and that automatically changes the TV to EXT1. Annoying if I forget to unplug it.
I have the Elite and use the official hdmi cable and audio adaptor too connect it too surround sound and can switch between my pc and xbox 360 (both connected via hdmi) and it doesnt reset the 360 just get a pop up box saying HDCP connection established

only 1 connection too the tv from the 360 but there are 2 seperate plugs going into it tho both the ports on the back are filled up the hdmi and the component cable port (which looks like the compontent connector but is thinner and only has the audio plugs on it) go into have things plugged in tho, if your meaning that it has too seperate things too plug into a tv it doesnt no
