360 RPGs ?

I actually wasn't particularly impressed by Blue Dragon. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. The fact is there are a lot of much better RPGs out there on the PS2 (and not just Final Fantasy) and the only thing Blue Dragon has over them is that it's on the 360.

So far it probably is the best JRPG on the 360, which doesn't really say a lot.

I love Eternal Sonata. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who's a fan of JRPGs, especially if they loved the Star Ocean series.
Enchanted Arms I thought was surprisingly good, very linear but a decent story imo.

Mass Effect is great but I do find myself preferring Japanese style RPGs. Oblivion was ok but not at all memorable for me.

Blue Dragon I haven't really touched yet but looks very promising :)

It's out this Friday in Japan, Jan for the US and Feb for us. It got a pretty good Famitsu score (10/9/9/9 off the top my head) and looks stunning though there's reported to be as much as 20 hours of fmv/in game cut scenes and it comes on 4 DVDs so we'll have to see.

In my eyes thats actually a good thing! :)

I hate cutscenes, probably why I don't like RPG games so much as tend to miss the story when your rapidly pressing every button to skip them :D
