Hi lads,

I know this has been discussed, but wanted to start a thread to try and get a definitive answer on whether tearing experienced using component is rectified by using VGA.

I've experienced pretty bad tearing in PDZ, and moderate tearing in Ghost Recon. I'm currently using component (26" Sammy HDTV). Hoping some tech people will be able to tell me whether switching to VGA will solve this issue.

Cheers in advance

Well I thought I was pretty safe from it, until I tried the Blazing Angels demo. And its shockingly bad. It looks like a severe case of no v-sync. Even when playing without v-sync on the pc, its not as bad as this..

My 360 setup is using a VGA cable straight into the back of my 19" CRT monitor. And the image is otherwise superb.

I cannot understand why developers would allow this, of even think its acceptable, when other fast paced games show no sign of it

yeah GRAW has tearing too, although its wierd, it only seems to tear the landscape and everything in the foreground seems ok, its wierd lol

Thanks lads that answers the question then, no point going out to get a VGA cable. Much obliged.

Hopefully MS will release a patch which enables us to turn v-sync on.
